Captain Marvel and yet another
'ginger person', Rado has been 2nd Team Captain for the last four
years. Once told that he was not a cricketer, Rado worked hard at his
game to prove his critics wrong. His fielding ability has never been
in question and some would say that he was and possibly still is the
'Grand Master' of fielding with some of his catches that would even
put Jonty Rhodes to shame. It is his batting which has most improved.
Moving up from a number 10 slogger Rado now opens the batting for the
2nd team and last year got his maiden century with a fine 109 not
out. Rado now wants more time to help develop the club and this year
has decided to step down as Captain. He is now organizing a new Youth
Team with new 2nd Team Captain Joe Nash, as well as raising money for
the club through sponsorships and he hopes to be able to build new amenities and help improve the ground in general.
